It’s been just over a decade since Winnipeg based indie band, The Weakerthans released their hit album Left and Leaving; an album I have recently been giving a lot of play-time to. With tracks that range from guitar-heavy ballads to folk-inspired to punk-inflected, it is the band’s overarching witty, introspective, and thought-provoking lyrics that keep drawing me back to them. Here’s Left and Leaving, one of my favorite tracks off the album. Lyrics here.
