If you’ve turned on your TV in the past few months you’ve probably heard Australia based indie rock band Temper Trap before and just not known it. Their song Sweet Disposition has been featured prominently in commercials for both Chrysler and Diet Coke, and is currently one of my favorite new songs.

Despite releasing their debut album just over a year ago, they managed to secure slots at four out of the five biggest music festivals in all of Europe this year—Oxegen, Glastonbury, Roskilde, and Rock Werchter— and shared the stage with artists like the Arcade Fire, Green Day, Muse, Phoenix, Jay-Z, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and more. The Temper Trap have come out of the gate running and are making big waves in the international music scene. I for one, am looking forward to what they have in store next.

Oh and here is a great acoustic version of Sweet Disposition from BBC Radio’s 5:19 show.
