Formed in Washington, D.C. but based in Philly, Jukebox the Ghost is going to be one of the bands to watch in 2011. In the two short years since their debut album hit stores, the trio’s catchy, melodic pop tunes and “easy-breezy rock momentum” have already propelled the band into the spotlight—earning them tour slots with Ben Folds and a set at this year’s Lollapalooza—and garnered them a rabid fan base in the process.

The band’s latest album, Everything Under the Sun is stellar and has critics nationwide drawing comparisons to pop heavy-hitters like Queen, Elvis Costello, and Billy Joel. Schizophrenia, the album opener—and the video featured here—is a dizzying pop composition that showcases their epic sound. I’m looking forward to catching the band live when they come through their home-town of Philadelphia this December on their North American tour.
