Gotye is the one-man side project of Wally de Backer—better known as one third of Australia’s indie-pop The Basics—and features de Backer’s oft-falsetto vocals over a stunning array of samples and live instrumentation. Eyes Wide Open is the super-catchy first single off his as-yet unnamed third album.
