Before posting this performance by London’s hottest folk/bluegrass quartet, Mumford and Sons, I watched it not once, not twice, but seven times—in a row. In fact, if I didn’t have other things to do today, I would probably still be sitting there marveling at the level of intensity that Marcus Mumford and his band put into their performance of “The Cave;” particularly in the last minute of this video.
The band’s debut album, Sigh No More, is one of my most played— and most enjoyed—albums of the year and with live performances like this, well, it’s no wonder that the name Mumford & Sons is on the tip of everyone’s tongue when the “Best of 2010” conversation is brought up.
P.S. I totally dig that they have no live drummer but that Marcus plays the bass drum and guitar at the same time during shows.
